Society is the name for a larger collection of individuals. All the rules, mores, order, and laws are for the preservation of society. Society is designed to function on a plane of its own. When society appears to not include an individual, this is a belief of unmet needs for a singular person. We are not members of society by choice because the word "society" is only a descriptive name for something which exists within our realm of perception
To consciously operate on the level of a singular individual while at the same time operating on the level of society is difficult. Our only willful association is in our moral and ethical values which are the basis of our actions. Every action has social impact, not only on the people which suround us who compose the larger society, but on ourselves through our conscious, and the personal impact in which our actions ultimately lead to.
