A million times I've tried tonight, a million times again
Just to get you out of my head and just not feel the pain
Knowing that you're so far away, eats me up inside
And even though I try and try, I just can't help but cry.
A million times I've tried tonight, a million times again
To deal with all the things around me that life so oddly brings
But no matter what I seem to do, it seems just like a sin
Thoughts of you come creeping back, making me feel grim.
A million times I've tried tonight, a million times again
To fall asleep without any fear because I know that you're not here
To hold me and keep me and make me feel safe
Locked in your arms is where I long to be but I just can't get my wish.
A million times I tried today, a million times again
To convince myself that you're right here, that I don't need to be in pain
In your loving arms I rest, there's no need to cry any more
It's all come true, a million times, like a million times before.
