Poetry: Speaking out

by Ember Nicholas

Created on: February 25, 2009

My anger flares

I feel alive

Under your hateful glares

I take a stand.

Fighting back

I hold my ground

You can't control me now

I'm done with being pushed around.

So say what you wish

Tear at me with all your will

I'll stand and take it

But when you've had your fill

Then it's my turn

To say what I've always wanted to say

and know that when I'm done

I'll stand the Victor for the Day.
