Perhaps the fascination with movies says that I could probably write about movies for hours, so now here is the introduction to the topic. When I started thinking about what I would write about next I was watching Princess Diaries 1, and this neat quote came out when Mia's father wrote to her during a time of difficulty, "Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that someone else is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all. From now on, you will be traveling the road between who you think you are and who you can be. The key is to allow yourself to make the journey."
The Princess Diaries is one of the favorite movies some of us enjoy watching continuously because Mia is a Genovian Princess and during a certain point, she realizes that at some point she has to face the public, and get rid of her fear as well.
The quote above however is saying that it takes guts to confront those things that bring us panic and chaos; however, the conclusion that another person is more significant than that fear. Many people in our lives are important, but we must conclude that they are more important than that fear we are having.
Mia may have had some serious issues during this movie. She went to a normal school, and until a certain point, people did knot know she was Mia, the Princess of Genovia. When did people know she was a Genovian Princess? Mia's mother had Mia have a makeover. When it was all over she looked very different, and her appearance looked more attractive. Her hair was no longer in a frizz desert any more. She also had her Grandmother's charm, which got her through many things. She had to deal with the public, and later on had a royal ball to attend to. What was it that she feared? Her fear was that she was not like her grandmother, that she could not manage the kingdom, and that she would make a disaster. She was not going to the ball dance until she read her father's letter; it was until that point that she realized that there were many more that were out there. She coudl not be a selfish person and let her fears get in her way. The very best thing out there for her was those people and realizing that in her opinion, she was not made a Princess, but her opinion is based on many mistakes made in the past, and she could not let that stand in her way. She reaized that she would make an excellent Genovian Princess.
There may be a lot more to say in this article, but I do not think that I could cover everthing. This essay is more of a cool conversational quote. The next part says that the brave, valiant, or courageous may not live on forever, but the consistant careful do not live at all. When someone is always over careful or over vigilant sometimes inall that carefullness we tend to also get very worried and apprehensive with things in life. The heroic daring people take chances, and are willing to go out on the limp for what they want in life.
I hope that you did not just read this article, but thought about it some too. I hope that it motivated you to be the heroic person that takes chances, and even when you are in that state of alarm or panic that something out there is more important than your chaos at that moment. Whatever it is that is more important should be your focus to move foward in life, not your fear.
