Dear Sir
We here at hopefultofindthenextbigthing and sons thanks you for your recent submission to our wonderful and illustrious manuscript screening process, as you are more than aware two out of the last 50 winners of the Dwarf Stars Award have considered using our manuscript services before moving on to other more reputable publishers who according to them would not only enhance but further their careers, but that's all in the nature of the game, we were upset initially at such brutal rejection ourselves but have now employed the services of a very professional therapists who said that living in the past is no good for our ongoing treatment, but we digress.
So thank you again for your recent submission, and please be assured that all information contained within your manuscript shall be treated with the utmost of confidence, as we would never consider on selling such information even if those that bought that information, usually payed us enough to keep the roof over our heads and the heat on for another month, not to mention pay our staff something that resembled a real wage.
We where engrossed by your tale, and sat spell bound around the fireplace, as we read page after glorious page of your manuscript, although please accept our apologies if the returned item has some little smudge marks around some of the edges, we only threw what we thought where the extraneous pages into the flames just to keep the heat on a little longer as business has been just a little slow for the last six months or so.
We didn't think that paper would be such a spontaneous substance so close to an ignition source, but we managed to save most of your work, which we hope wasn't the only copy you have, and we got the general gist of the story line any way, or what we thought was the story line as we tried to smother out any remaining flames in the ensuring ruckus, which by the way left a rather nasty smudge mark on our carpet, but we won't charge you for the cleaning of that after all it was our fault in the first place, despite what our lawyers are saying to the contrary.
Any way, it's just so sad at the moment that we can't take any more submission, such as the one that you have provided to us, while we appreciate the complexity that you have crafted into your narrative, as well as the carefully constructed and well though our characters.
It was our test audience that had the final say about the believability and saleability of your story as a whole, and even after a tough session
