Trying to list ten types of men seems a little difficult because this decision should be based solely on your own personal choice. Regardless what anyone tells you about stereotyping men in general, there are types that need to be avoided when considering marriage. It's important to keep in mind that whether you already have children or plan on having children with this man, children will unfortunately become the victims in the long run.

The following types of men are just not marriage material. If your man falls into any one of these categories, it's up to you to decide whether he is worth the time it will take to get him help. And that's only if he accepts the help. Some may not want to be helped or are in denial that they even have a problem. If that's the case, just walk away. You can't change any man. If he wants to change for you, he will. Men know exactly what they want. And now so should you.

1. SUBSTANCE ABUSER

Drug is his wife and that means you can't be unless he gets help. If he is an alcoholic, it won't go away on its own. He needs help and marriage is not a cure.

2. SEX ADDICT

He is always online or worse yet, masturbating. Get help or walk away.

3. PATHOLOGICAL LIAR

He can't help lying about everything, even his past. You can't marry someone you don't know or can't trust.

4. NO GREEN CARD

This is more like a caution than a stop sign. There are men who come into this country to get a piece of the American dream just like my parents did, and their intentions are very different from those who come here for illegal reasons. If you're not sure, you should do a background check. He should introduce you to his entire family, friends, and there should be no secrets between you.

5. MAMA'S BOY

There's nothing wrong with a man loving his mother and maybe she's alone and old, okay, we get it. But if it causes problems in your relationship, then it's time to stop sucking on the teat. Unless you're both willing to get therapy, you will always be second place to his mother.

6. ANGRY & RUDE

He needs anger management because he can't control his emotions or fists. When he gets angry, he blacks out or can't remember what he said in his rage. This man can get physical if angered enough and you shouldn't have to walk on egg shelves the rest of your life.

7. WOMANIZER

He is flirtatious with your friends and all other females around, even when you're with him. He may have even already cheated on you and you forgave him. A single womanizer makes a married cheater.

8. MISMATCHED

Opposites attract but it depends on the issues at hand. By now you should both have the basic fundamentals of what you both want and if it's something like where you buy your first home, you can always find a compromise. But if he doesn't want children and you do, this relationship is doomed.

9. SELFISH

If he's very tight with his money and personal belongings, it means he doesn't like to share, which means he will prioritize himself over you in a marriage. This type will usually ask for a pre-nup and that's up to you. In my opinion, that's not a marriage, that's a business transaction. If he isn't ready to share his life with the only one he loves and intends to live the end of days with, then he's just not ready.

10. CONVICT/PEDOPHILE

If he is still in prison or is being rehabilitated from Pedophilia, it's safe to say you shouldn't marry him, unless you don't have or want any children and don't mind being the center of neighborhood crime watches.
