Guitar Hero 2, one of the most critically acclaimed rhythm games in the world, has a few tricks up it's sleeve. While earning everything is a challenge, there are certain cheats in the game that make the game very interesting. These cheats are for the NTSC version of GH2 (That's mainly North America, for those who do not know). All the cheats in GH2 are activated by pressing the required buttons on the title screen. Once the code is completed, a guitar strum is heard and a confirmation notice is displayed.

Air Guitar:

Every strum your favorite guitar song in the mall when you were holding nothing? Have your favorite character wail on the invisible strings with this cheat! Just enter Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Blue. Now both you and your character can look silly at the same time.

Performance Mode:

Played the game long enough to memorize every note in any song? Ever wanted to just play the game and watch the rock concert without any of the Heads Up Display blocking your view? Well, with this cheat, you can do that. The code is Yellow, Yellow, Blue, Yellow, Yellow, Orange, Yellow, Yellow. Amazes friends and foes alike, or just a really mean trick in multi-player.

Alternate Performer Heads:
Sometimes, just a change of pace in looks is good enough to keep the excitement rolling. There are two changes one can make to the main character on stage. If a head on fire is desired, the code Orange, Yellow, Orange, Orange, Yellow, Orange, Yellow, Yellow will do the trick. However, for a more humorous head, the code Blue, Orange, Orange, Blue, Orange, Orange, Blue, Orange, Orange, Blue will switch the head of the performer with a horse's head.

Alternate Crowd Heads:
When the crowd seems a little dull, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Orange, Yellow, Orange, Blue will make their heads turn into giant eyeballs. Perfect for those creepy concerts. If you want to monkey around with the crowd, the code Orange, Blue, Yellow, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Yellow, Yellow will make their heads turn into monkeys. And no, none of then will fling anything onto the stage.

Hyperspeed:
This one is for the bravest of the brave. This cheat speeds up the notes on the fretboard, making the game more difficult (or easier, if one has lightning fast reflexes and wants to Full Combo Jordan on expert without squinting). The code is Orange, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Orange, Yellow. This cheat can be turned off by repeating the code at the title screen, so when someone new wants to play, conveniently forget this for a hilarious result.
