Poetry: Found myself

by Marykathryn Crabtree

Created on: February 24, 2009

I found myself just yesterday.

I wondered where I'd been,

and in the mirror where my reflection was

I saw that I was thin.

"Isn't it funny" I thought to myself,

and pondered as I sat~

"Last time I remember I'm pretty sure

my body had more fat."

So away I turned and as if in a dream

I floated by the mirror

and told myself "if I step on a scale

I think things will be much clearer."

The scale seemed to crunch as my weight fell upon it

I almost could hear it scream.

"My Gosh I think that what I saw

really was a dream!"
