Songs: Pay day

by Lucinda Davis

Created on: February 24, 2009

A Smile Won't Pay The Bills (country upbeat)

1. She's got friends and she's got family

She is happy or appears to be

There was a time when she had nothing

That's why she smiles and now she sings

chorus:

But a smile won't pay the bills

It don't buy you fancy frills

So she sings all night long

And she loves those country songs

2. She loves God and her country

She is proud that she is free

She loves her man he takes her dancn'

a little wine and a little romancn'

repeat chorus-

3. She goes to church every Sunday

But the preacher don't like her ways

He always tells her how she is wrong

but she has to sing her songs

repeat chorus-
