1. She's got friends and she's got family
She is happy or appears to be
There was a time when she had nothing
That's why she smiles and now she sings

But a smile won't pay the bills
It don't buy you fancy frills
So she sings all night long
And she loves those country songs
2. She loves God and her country
She is proud that she is free
She loves her man he takes her dancn'
a little wine and a little romancn'

3. She goes to church every Sunday
But the preacher don't like her ways
He always tells her how she is wrong
but she has to sing her songs
