Spaying or neutering your pet<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Spaying an animal is an invasion of their right to mate unmolested by human hands. I know that animals should have little or nothing say in how their master brings them up much like slaves had little or nothing to say to their masters about what they were allowed to do. Is this right though? All through history man has made slaves of other less fortunate beings. We used to have pets while growing up who would run to meet us when walking home from school. Now unfortunately they are mostly house dogs in other words not allowed to go outside at all. One of the best pets we had was nothing more than a lowly pig who would rush up the hill to meet us on our way home from school. He even went swimming with us which at the time was frowned on because people say that the pig may actually cut his own throat with his own hooves. (Old wives tale)
Lets get back to spaying or neutering and as we all want what's best for our pets lets examine this to see if it is actually good for our pets. Is it a natural thing to get spayed? No Neutered? No. Will this control the pet population? Probably, but if every one got their pet spayed or neutered would the pet population be safe; no because in as little as twenty years there would be no pets at all. Will it make your pet healthier? No, No, No, because look around and what do you see in the homes of people with house pets that are spayed, neutered & needled. They are the unhealthiest bunch of critters on the face of the earth. They are over weight and sluggish with no ideas of how to protect themselves. When you take normal male female sex out of the picture they will have more internal problems just like men and women do.
Spaying is just an excuse to make the owners rest a little easier knowing their pet can't get pregnant like any other normal healthy animal. If you can't keep your friend safe you should not have it and that is why today I don't have a pet because I cannot afford all the necessary upkeep an animal needs to be healthy, live a long life and have his or her natural needs satisfied when in heat. If a man can use a sheik why not a dog instead of castration and weighing a ton and dying of heart failure? If you must have your dog fixed remember you are only being selfish and remember how good it feels when in the companionship of the one you love. Is it not a crying shame to abuse the ones we love? I know I focused on dogs but it is the same for all pets.
