Improving sales despite the suboptimal economy is similar to building a healthy body in today's toxin-filled environment.

You're probably not yet going to make a million dollars in the next hour, nor are you going to lose that extra ten pounds yet in the same time. But you can achieve both relatively quickly if you relax and forge ahead with a focused mind-set, one step at a time.

Imagining yourself improving your body will de-stress you mentally and will set yourself up with more confidence to build sales. As much as possible, connect any positive encounters in your day with parallels in your business and with your sales goal.

Tip Number Three: Research your specific industry and find current strengths and weaknesses just as you would research preventive maintaince for your ongoing great health. If growing your business is like improving the health of your body, then you must be as conscious of the intricate funtions of your niche in the industry as you are with what you eat or drink. The Internet makes it possible to expediently discover what your sales market demands are. Trends and new ideas from competitive entities are at your fingertips along with tips for business and personal relationships. Similarly, you can speedily investigate and note recent, health tips to improve your body with nutrition and exercise. Remember: a healthy body equates to a healthy mind. Don't be surprised if you increase sales by motivating your employees and co-workers with group exercise, gym, healthier snacks in the vending machines or other "feel good" activities.

Tip Number Four is "general awareness." Be as aware of your product's or services' marketability as you are cognizant of your own appearance. Your business product or service "package," (be it your logo, business card or your office environment), is an impression you give to every potential
