Poetry: Never look back

by Lee Frankel-Goldwater

Created on: February 24, 2009   Last Updated: September 24, 2010

I once wrote a song,

That called for A's and B's,

But the flow that came along,

Asked for C's and D's.

It was that day I cut the strings,

And walked out on the band,

Simply dropping everything,

This wasn't according to plan...

Ha, indeed, there's no regrets, Until,

On your circumstances you think,

And then your judgment, oh you will,

Question, your sanity to the brink.

It doesn't matter, I sang the tune,

That with my heart did resonate,

Never on the past to loom.

And in the grand scheme,

Be it random or by art,

I know for sure - I've played my part.
