STILLNESS
It was cold.
My breath hung in the air
as if suspended.
My heart was beating.
Wildly. quickly.
I was scared.
Over my shoulder
I saw him
running toward me.
Faster, faster, faster.
The crispness of the
snow echoed in the
stillness of night.
Closer
closer
closer...
and then~
I woke up
