Maybe it would take a while before I can look at you with a smile.
Maybe it will take a while before I learn to live,
learn to forget, learn to forgive
I am not expecting sympathy from anyone so don't expect any to be shown
I don't expect the destruction of these antagonistic feelings needlessly grown
But don't look at me like I can love again.
It is not possible for it to rise once it has been slain
Maybe one day I will rise, living by your memories will no longer suffice
Maybe that day will be today but only if if I want it to be that way
