Video game reviews: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

The entire series thus far has been loved very much by many people who love video games. Certainly exciting, with endless action and adventure now is here to diversified and to guide us in the streets of a new virtual reality. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the fifth part of the popular video game series Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and released in summer of 2005 by Rockstars Games. The video game is widely well-known for the criminal content and its story while unfolds at the virtual area of cities such as Los Santos, Las Venturas and San Fierro that reminiscent of California.

In the previous chapter of the series (Grand Theft Auto Vice City), Carl Johnson left his homecity, Los Santos. A city where dissolved by crime, drugs, corruption and generally characterized by a high crime rate. A city where the stars of cinema and many millionaires do their best to avoid drug dealers and gangs.

Somewhere in the early of '90s, Carl returned to the city of Los Santos of San Andreas state and learns that his mother is dead, that his family is dissolved and his friends have taken the wrong way, while himself involved in a homicide. As you can see, Carl Johnson (better known with the sort name of CJ) is the character that the gamer has the control of him during the game play and the goal is to save what have been remained of his family and to take control of the roads of the cities by making a long trip across the state of San Andreas.

This version of the game is about 5 times bigger in size than the previous (Vice City) and includes more cars and pedestrians with a higher IQ, an excellent graphical representation (lighting, colors, weather conditions, details of persons and other characteristics), a large number of primary missions (96 in total) which should be completed correctly in order to have progress in the game, many secondary missions such as taxi driver, ambulance driver, police vehicle driver, fire truck driver which all of them are already known from the previous versions but also added some new ones such as car porter in a hotel unit and truck driver. Plenty of missions have been released. Amazing things are about to be done!

In the positive side of the game are also the rich collection of musical selections (some of them are The Who, Toto, Faith No More, Depeche Mode, James Brown, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Danzig, Cream, Alice in Chains, Guns N' Roses and many many more other), a well-written screenplay, a terrific casting (Samuel L. Jackson, Ice-T, MC Eiht are just some of them) and tons of other interesting features and variables appropriate to invest in making the game even more attractive

The Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is much greater in difficulty than in Vice City and will probably need more time to finish the game. However, the long duration, the number of varied missions, the fantastic graphics (audio/video) make it even more impressive and more exciting as a video game, that actually may be blocking the player for long hours in front of the computer screen.
