Here I stand
Here I stand with a naked soul wide opened
My eyes are clear as the moon encased in a midnight
Blanket
My guards were never down for the heart does as it will
On any given moment
I prayed for this spirit roaming my inner soul to vanish
From the debts of my being, but my senses were trapped
In bondage, unwilling to be freed from the grasp of love's
Empowerment.
The test has been completed and the drive is over
As my soul weeps in gentle pain, I stand alone once more
Although I passed the exam, with honors and all
I had no control of destiny even though it led to my fall
But as I sit and wonder why, and how could I allow this to
Happen to me again
There are no solutions for destiny had to win
The triumph is the lesson I learned from all of this
For I still have the ability to love and love I did
But winners or losers had no place in this affair
Because the strength I sought to survive was always
There
So here I stand, alone but not broken
For the love I have for you will always be yours
As a token
Remember me, you will, for I did what I did because
Of who and what I am always
Remember what could have been
You will, someday!

A Prayer From The Soul
Anytime when with a girl,
I don't know what to say.
Thoughts dishevel in a whirl.
My soul begins to pray.

Leave me alone
Get out of my head
I don't want to like you
Did you hear what I said?
I shouldn't like you
But for some reason
The life we share together,
Our eyes meet and our hands touch,
Our time we give, but a secret is must stay,
You give your love
