Do I Want to be Invisible?
To be invisible would not be enough,
I would have to be alone,
Completely alone.
And being alone, would it afford me peace?
The peace I am looking for,
The peace I need!
Finding the peace, would it be true?
Yes truly sincere and sane,
Restoring my sanity!
And restoring my sanity, would it be wise?
Bring me happiness,
Or tell happy lies?
Is happiness something I would recognize?
Would it make me complete,
Or completely blind?
And if I'm blind, could I see what I've got?
What if I've already got enough?
Enough of what I really want?
If I've got what I want, and it is enough,
To be invisible would not be reasonable,
But is there reasonableness in insanity?

the kids are out visiting,
and
My dog,
with head slipped underneath the bed,
she hopes I will not see her.
She thinks she is invisible,
trying to hide

Am I alone...with all of you here?
Are my needs not noticed, while you hold each other near?
Can we sit together
