Google AdWords - Some Things You Should Know
Google AdWords is, without a doubt, one of the most popular ways to advertise online. Many online advertisers are turning to AdWords due to its super quick earning potential. Even though this is true, not knowing how to use AdWords properly can be very costly. This article will take a look at some things that you should know about Google AdWords before you get started.
First off, let me explain what AdWords is. Google AdWords is a pay-per click advertising method where ads are created by an advertiser and charged a fee every time that ad is clicked upon by potential customers. The object is to make more then you spend. For example; lets say that you are paying $0.32 per click on you ad. You received 17 clicks before you received a sale. Lets say that the product you are marketing is salling for $19.95. So, in return, you spent $5.44 to make $14.51, not to bad. There are many online marketers that are making a very good living from just running AdWord ads. Here are some things that you should know before you get started with Google AdWords.
Study Google AdWords - Before jumping into AdWords, take some time to research it. Read as many articles and guides on AdWords as you can. Try to get a really good detailed understanding of what AdWords is and how it works. Doing this will really get you prepared for using Google AdWords in a beneficial way.
Research Your Product - Do some basic research on your product. Find out what kind of demand is out there for your product. You want to make sure that your product has people on the internet searching for your product or similar products of yours. You can figure this out by doing simple keyword searches related to your product. There are many keyword search tools out there. Wordtracker is one of the best free keyword searching tools out there.
Have A Good Landing Page - You need to make sure that that the site that your ad will lead to is attractive. Make sure that this page is professional looking. Take time to go over your site to make sure that it will appeal to people that will see it.
Have Some Money To Invest - I recommend having at least $100 set aside just for AdWords. This does not mean that you are going to lose $100. Doing this will increase your earning potential and give you a little more play room when running your ads.
Create Good Ads - This is very important. Make sure your ad stands out among the other ads. Ask yourself "Would I click on this ad?", if the answer is yes, give it a shot.
Monitor Your Ads - The main reason why people lose a lot of money using AdWords is because they do not monitor their ads. If you see that your ad is getting close to going over your budget, you can pause your ad campaign until you can increase your spending. Monitoring your ads will prevent you from over spending.
