The best super hero movies of all time

First, there were the super hero comics. That was the beginning of an era. Many people were spending their money to collect the series of their favorite super hero. It was an addiction. Still is. In every child's fantasy, there is a super hero. A seemingly ordinary person that can fly, is fast like a thunder, can control the elements of nature or can heal from serious wounds in zero time. That is why, one comic after another, was brought to life, with real people, with a secret life, an alter ego, trying to rescue the humanity from evil. Who is your favorite super hero? Which one is the best super hero movie?

Superman

Superman was the first super hero movie ever presented on big screen in 1978. The film was based upon the fictional character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster by DC Comics. The special effects were astonishing although technology was not that developed back then. Clark Kent, is ostensibly a quite, shy journalist. All he cares about is his work. But when someone is in trouble or in danger, he becomes Superman. The handsome, muscular hero, with the S emblem on his chest. He can fly, he is fast like the wind, and nothing can hurt him. Almost nothing. His only weakness is the kryptonite that can take away all his powers. And of course, his love for Lois Lane. Christopher Reeve is still remembered as one of the best actors that pulled off Superman and Clark Kent so well. The sequels were cherished almost as much as the original version. There was no other super hero movie until 1989 where Batman was released.

Batman

Batman is once more a DC Comics character. Even though he has no super powers, Batman-or else Bruce Wayne-still has the Batmobile and many excellent weapons and "toys" that make him equal to a super hero. And make him look really cool too. The extraordinary Tim Burton directed the first film and it was a blockbuster. Michael Keaton as Batman, Jack Nicolson as the evil Joker and Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale, gave us a dark, gothic film that was ranked at charts' top places. Even nowadays. Jack Nicolson had one of the best performances in his career that no one ever dared to challenge him. Until the astonishing performance
by the late Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight (2008), where some claimed that, he was even better than Jack Nicolson was in the original version. Directed by Christopher Nolan, this sequel wiped out the rest ones and made this film tough to overcome.
