Let's clear something up right now, slow drivers need to stay in the right hand lane on the freeway! There's no problem with slow drivers staying to the right that are driving at or a little below the speed limit. The problem comes when slow drivers insist on driving in the fast lane. These drivers are complete and utter morons who are one of the most dangerous people on the road today.
Most accidents are caused not by speeding, but by inconsistencies of speed. If someone is traveling in the left hand lane, and doing ten or fifteen miles above the speed limit, which is not uncommon, and comes up on someone driving fifty, problems are going to happen. We are talking about jamming on the brakes, causing people behind the normal driver to slam on their brakes and a domino effect takes place. Add in slippery or wet conditions and one can see this idiot driving slow needs to have their license taken away. This is one of the most serious problems on our nations roads, and that is what state troopers should be looking out for.
It has been proved that if most people are traveling at or about the same speed, less accidents occur. It is when a pinhead refuses to move over to the right hand lane and insists for whatever reason to drive in the fast lane, usually while talking on a cell phone, that road rage is right around the corner.
Sometimes I get so pissed off I will go around the idiot, get in front of them, and then slow down even further to send them a message. Of course, I will only do this if there are no other cars around and it is safe to do so. But I can find no other way short of running them off the road to get the point across. Flashing lights or beeping your horn at them does no good. They are in their own little world and nothing short of an atomic blast is going to get these stubborn freaks to move. I just can't stand them, and I find my blood boiling just thinking about them. Believe me, I am not overreacting, as I have seen some serious and deadly accidents occur because of them.
I don't know what they are trying to pull or why they won't drive in the right hand lane, but it is really bizarre. Are they just trying to get back at normal drivers? Are they trying to cause accidents? Are they just insane? Whatever it is it needs to be addressed, as our nations roads are killing fields and getting rid of these drivers would be a great start.
So the next time you are on the road and happen to see one of these morons try sending them a message. I really don't care what method you use as long as you don't endanger other drivers. Frankly, I could care what you do to the geek going too slow, because they certainly don't care about you. And if you are one of these hated drivers I am writing about, watch out. You better drive in the right hand lane because more and more people are fed up with you guys.
