Poetry: America's new hope

by Linh Truong

Created on: February 22, 2009

Step by step we unfold our dreams,

the distances that we've walked can't simply be seen by looking back.

We're turning the corner, America's new hope in revealed.

The past drifts like the snow, blurring the horizon.

Hope is drawing the line of old and new.

A little bit more and we reach our destination,

a voice is calling out then millions join in.

America's new hope is revealed. The sky holds our limit.
