While waiting in line at Walmart one day, I turned my head to one of the magazine racks to see Britney Spears with her bald head holding an umbrella to an SUV with much intention to beat the vehicle into its original atomic bits. As confused as i was, i passed up reading the story to go along with the bizarre picture thinking I would hear all about it one way or another.
At this time, everyone was watching Britney like a hawk to see her next failure, whether it be getting a tattoo, shaving her head, or missing a court date. When something happened, the media was on her right away. She astounded us with her acts, seeming almost delusional. For those who don't have anything better to do other then blog and mock celebrities flaws, she was the perfect victim. Every time you thought it couldn't get any weirder, she always brought something to the table, to feed the paparazzis' desire.
But in her defence, I must say that she didn't exactly ask for this. It started out innocently enough. Being one of the stars on the kids show, The Mickey Mouse club, she was what every girl wanted to be. With her sparkling voice, and getting to see Justin Timberlake on a regular basis, how could life have gotten any sweeter? But it is said that children who don't have a regular childhood, are effected when they are older.
After years of dancing and touring after scoring a record deal, Britney surprised us all by saying that she was going to get married with back-up dancer Kevin Federline. After saying everything was perfect and having two children they divorced. This followed many months of custody battles, endless clubbing, a British accent, no under garments, and a shady former paparazzi friend named Adnan, she wasn't the happiest or most "sane" person on Earth. But how could she be? She had her own problems like everyone else, and she dealt with it the only way she knew how. Behind every air brushed star is a normal breathing human being with the same needs like everyone else. You do not become immune to emotions and making mistake and having issues just because you look okay.
If you look at it this way, people who are different are singled out by society and scrutionized, which i believe is an unfair thing. She was scrutrionized beond recognition, and was over stimulated by flashing camera lights. But whatever the reason was that sent her off on such a rampage, it is clear that now she has seemed to pull herself together.
She, like many people, has had her ups and downs.
