Bull's Bridge to Kent
The trail is a part of the Appalachian Trail, so you can follow the white marker for a long as you like. Overall, it is several miles long hike through flat terrain. It can be a relaxing walk, or a strenuous hike. Use caution when hiking near falls in this area since trail erosion and varying water heights could make it dangerous up close. The Bull's Bridge to Kent trail includes a covered bridge and a river walk. The trail passes next to an old power station and waterfalls.
Ten Mile River to Bull's Bridge
The trail is mostly a road walk that is 2.5 miles long, and of moderate difficulty. Walk along Bull's Bridge Road, go over a low rise, which will bring you to the Housatonic River. The trail follows an old road on a high bank above the river. You can cross the river on Ned Anderson Memorial Bridge. Tunxis trail to the Indian Council Caves
The trail is several miles long, and passes near caves. It is a moderately difficult hike. The Tunxis trail has a few seasonal brook crossings, and the path will lead you to Kettle Brook. Then you will reach a dirt extension road, and the trail carries you through a white pine forest. Signs will direct you toward the caves. Bluff Point coastal reserve trail
The 4 miles long loop is a dirt road with areas of sand and loose gravel. The hike is easy to moderately difficult. The Bluff Point coastal reserve is a landscape of sand dunes, steep cliffs, and a beach. The trail passes along tidal salt marshes and the foods, creating a unique experience. Lost Lake Trail
It is a several miles long trail through flat and wood terrain. The hike is moderately difficult. The Lost Lake Trail is the part of West Woods. Once you get to the intersection of trails, follow the orange circle trail until you reach a rock outcropping above lost lake. Eventually, you will reach a bridge and a waterfall.
