London is one of the most tourist friendly places in the world. No matter what your interests or passions are London offers a wide variety of activities and chances are that you will find something that intrigues.

Having visited London twice in my life so far, once in the mid summer when I had hit the twenty year mark and recently in the peak winter has given me the opportunity to relate some exciting things to do in London in different seasons.

My plane landed the day it had snowed heavily in London after 18 years. Yes I was that lucky winner with my plane circling over the Heathrow airport for hours was not that I had in mind, not quite a good start.

Anyway, I got out discovering that the whole city was covered under deep white snow, and it had been snowing all night and was likely to continue for another day. Although it was very beautiful and pleasing to look at but the only trouble was that public transportation had been suspended for a couple of days until it clear out. Not a good news for a tourist, since public transportation is the only means to get around the city so I had no choice but to chill out for next few days. Once you are prepared I have outlined some of the must see places in London. Most of the places are indoors such as museums and palace making it easy to discover London treasures.

Richmond Park

If you are lucky enough to catch the winter snow in London then this is the place to see. Richmond Park is a huge playground with varying landscape and this makes it ideal to hold in snow for a long time. This park is an excellent spot for snow boarding, skiing, snow sledges and other snow activities. Even in the absence of snow it's a nice place to walk and enjoy the cold breeze while capturing the different breeds of deer strolling across.

Hampton Court Palace

In the vicinity of Richmond Park situated on Richmond upon Thames is the English Royal Palace Hampton Court. The best way to reach this place is to take a bike ride that you can rent when you start planning for your trip to London. A bike ride over the river Thames will serve as an excellent
