What is the true form of God?

God is the Creator of all that exists, God is eternal without a beginning or end.

In order to worship God we do not need to know of His true form he has sent us messengers and the Quran to show us what we need to know in order to life out our lives on earth.

But don't we need to know His form in order to picture it in our minds when we worship, give thanks and ask for forgiveness from God? No we don't. When we worship we are to know that God is watching us and can hear us even though we cannot see Him it is all part of the test of life.

As soon as we put God into a physical form in our minds His magnificence is shrunken, He no longer is that Glorious Creator but just an image, an incorrect image.

God is spirit. That will do us for now, imagine God as pure energy or light, at least that washes away any creature-type God we may conjure up in our heads.

Some picture Jesus (how they think he may have looked), or a colossal old man with flowing white robes and a giant white beard sitting on a throne overlooking the entire universe, these are dangerous images to have in our minds when thinking of God.

God is not part of His creation. Anything that we could ever conceive in our heads is a product of our surroundings and a product of the creation. Since we are part of the creation how could we ever imagine how anything outside of the creation looks?

We can't.

Even with the information that we have about God we cannot comprehend how His form may be.

Just trying to "picture" the eternal, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-encompassing, etc being makes my head hurt. It's no wonder many have come up with the weirdest creatures to represent God's image like multiple-headed men, a giant turtle, and all the rest of them.

And to make it even more impossible to imagine God's true form, He says that He is closer to you than your own jugular vein?

The only way to comprehend this in my opinion is by knowing that this world is the shadow world, all we sense through our five senses are just illusions, even our bodies are illusions. All that truly exists around our souls is energy, waves and waves of energy.

Our souls or real selves exist beyond "The Creation" and behind this physical world. God exists "Beyond the Creation" so the only way to know of His true form is to leave our bodies and stand face to face with God in the afterlife.

We are in our human bodies and stuck with our human limitations, it is my hope and understanding that when we leave our bodies the limitations that we have will also leave us. It is my hope and understanding that when we are just souls that we will have access to all of the information that exists and be able to experience the real world without limits.
