There are an abundant amount of diverse things to see and do in the Baltimore Inner Harbor area. If you're planning to visit Baltimore or are a local interested in exploring the Inner Harbor here are a few choices that may peak your interest.
A good pick for families or adults is the Baltimore National Aquarium. The Baltimore Aquarium is home to more than 16,000 specimens and over 600 species of animals. They have great exhibits to view including the dolphin show and a 4D movie theater. You can find deals for the Aquarium on Fridays after five for discount prices and Its also a great place for parties and meetings. You can view there website at www.aqua.org. All and all its a fun well maintained adventure everyone in Baltimore should go see.
Second is the harbor shopping experience there are tons of great shops located directly around the harbor in two large indoor shopping areas. They have everything from souvenirs, restaurants, sports memorabilia, and singing employees ant making home made fudge. You can also experience some Maryland history walking around the harbor. You can visit the Baltimore maritime museum at four separate locations around the harbor. There is a light house, a submarine and two historic ships.
Another great area of interest is power plant live. Here is were you will find great restaurants by Day and a hip and restless younger social crowd at night. They have live bands and music during the summer. There are bars that have outdoor seating and patio areas spring summer and fall. You can find new and exciting events at various locations around this square on the weekends. Some of the places in power plant are Mosaic Night club, Tex Mex Tequila bar, Lucky's Tavern, and Angels Rock Bar. They have something of interest for everyone.
The Maryland Science center is another good pick for a family friendly outing. It is very educational and has many exhibits for a wide age range. They also have a IMAX theater and a planetarium. The IMAX theater usually has three different movies playing at once. Some of the exciting choices are 3D dinosaurs, Antarctica, and another kid friendly educational related movie that is out at the time. You can view there shows and show times on there website at www.mdsci.org. They also advertise "Fridays after five prices take a dive" discount . This discount is for anyone and everyone who visits the science center.
The Baltimore Inner Harbor as many Hotels to choose from if you are planning to stay. there is also plenty of transportation available including taxis, light rails, water taxis, buses, and VESPA scooter tours to accommodate tourists. The Baltimore inner harbor caters to its tourism and all in all is a pleasant and historical site to visit.
