Poetry: My angel

by AnnMarie McGovern-Theriault

Created on: February 21, 2009

An angel called me up one day,

with promises of love.

And calendars of better days,

were God sent from above.

I at the time was curious.

I let the angel in.

Though thoughts of life

not trusting.

My lights of love were dim.

My angel's shared a decade now,

We've an angel of our own.

Once an unhappy dwelling,

Has now become a home.

My dreams of life,

the promises,

Were kept and now are true.

I thank the Lord,

The angel sent.

That angel it was you!
