Seems like we're running out of time

The clock ticks alittle faster as it rains in late July

The birds are singing as I look outside my window.

Soon you'll be gone, far away, your footsteps fade, into gray.

I listen to your favorite song, and can't help but sing along.

The fire flickers, you, me, us, forever seems so far away

The glass shatters, we're walking on broken glass.

The ice is melting where I'm standing as your footsteps get softer,

The clock ticks alittle faster as it rains in late july.

We're running out of time. Our story doesn't end with "happily forever after."

Cause theres no happily, or forever, or an after, once you're gone.
