First off, I believe that sex should always be a personal choice between two (or more!) consensual adults. Now, I'll give three important reasons why people should have sex before marriage.
Reason 1: Sex feels freakin' amazing!
Or at least it should. If it doesn't, you're either doing something wrong or you need to have something looked at. Either way, it is a biological desire that sometimes inspires some ridiculous behavior; from leather bondage outfits to voluntary, painful cosmetic surgery. Either way, we do it all in the name of sex! From the time puberty hits and the juices begin flowing, the need to procreate becomes stronger and stronger. When you throw free-will into the mix, suddenly you have the recipe for an orgasmic experience that involves the whole human experience.
On a physical level, sex inspires us to want to look and feel good. When we have sex, our hearts race and our bodies perspire. Then, one night stands aside, our emotions get thrown into the mix. Sex bonds couples together and becomes an act of love, inspiring bad poetry and rock ballads. Finally, our minds become involved and we make decision like whether or not to get married, have children, own a house, get a dog, and install a white picket fence. Sex encompasses human beings mentally, physically, and emotionally.
So as soon as a person is mature enough to handle the amazing sexual experience, they should dive right in. Practice makes perfect and life is too short not to enjoy your body for all its worth! (and remember, no glove, no love!)
Reason 2: Sex has health benefits!
We see these headlines all the time while waiting in line at the grocery store: "New study finds that sex is good for you!" Sure, sex can be pretty bad for you too if you catch an STD or end up pulling a muscle while strapping yourself into a leather harness. As long as you take the right precautions, a regular schedule of bump-and-grind is just as good as eating right and exercising regularly. According to WebMD, sex helps boost the immune system, relieves stress, increases self esteem, and can even help relieve chronic pain. And for you women out there, according to Newsweek, regular sex (about 4 times a week) can help regulate the menstrual cycle, makes the skin look younger, and increases bladder control.
These are just a few of many other healthy reasons to make sex just as routine as going to the gym. So why wait to be married to finally benefit in what is obviously a good thing? Just remember to keep it fresh
