Reactions to President Bush's 2007 state of the union address

Did our President, the Chief of Staff, give a State of the Union Address? Where on earth could I have possibly been? Oh yeah, that's right, I was on the sofa, with my little footy socks warming my feet, covered with my blanket, snuggled up to the warmth of my little doggy, because gas is too freaking expensive to put in the tank to provide me with heat! Forget about the fact that if I wasn't paying so much for my health insurance, I'd be able to pay the high cost of the fuel. Wait a minute, come to think of it, I'm paying so much for my health insurance right now, I can't even afford to use it.

Didn't Clinton promise to do something about the cost of health insurance? No, as I recall he assigned that responsibility to his wife. Oh crap, she's running for president next isn't she? Did I not hear her mention something about health insurance shortly after she announced she was "forming a committee"?

Iraq.... huuuummm? Yes, I know all about Iraq. I know that when our troops first entered Iraq, I was on my knees praying, because my son, my only son was there. My son-in-law, my only daughter's husband was there. I was praying because the only thing I could think of was that I wanted them to come home safely. I knew that my son and my son-in-law would die for their country, willingly! You ask either one of them if they'd do it again and being Marines, they'd both say, "you bet your f*(^kng as(*& I would!" They would much rather die in battle, defending the freedom that their country stands for then to be shot in a drive by shooting in their very own country! (Or maybe have a building cave in on them?)

How can anyone honestly blame our president or any one individual for that matter, for anything that happens in this world? Does anyone honestly believe that anything that our president, in this point of his term, says is relevant to anyone in this country other than the people who want him out of office? Anything he says can and will be used against him!

It is not a republican or even a democrat that will keep this the great country that our forefathers fought and died to build! No, it is each and every citizen that will maintain that status.
