I own a laptop. It was a gift from my grandma to take away to university with me. I used Word to write assignments and if necessary Powerpoint and Excel. My only knowledge and use of the Internet was Google, which I used for researching assignments and finding cinema times. I never realised I could use the Internet for fun.

More specifically I use Myspace for fun. It is definately a phenomenon that once you get round your head around it you wont look back. You will have fun setting up your profile, choosing a background from the millions published online and feel a sense of achievement upon its completion if like me you are a novice on the Internet.

Meeting new people is never a bad thing and the range of people on Myspace is mind blowing. Myspace music is another fantastic feature. Some unheard of but brilliant bands have found me rather than the other way round and I am enjoying the experience of finally being cool enough to have heard of new up and coming bands before they are on MTV like many young people manage to do!

Since joining Myspace I have finally grasped digital photography. I enjoy uploading photos I have taken at birthdays etc for all my online friends to view. I feel I will make sure I have photographic evidence of every fun time I have from now on which will provide me with enjoyment for a lifetime.

Finally it is a fun, and free, method of keeping in contact with all your friends. Leave them messages and comments, send them photos and videos. Post bulletins telling everyone what you are upto or to invite them down the pub on friday.

Anyone who works in an office or sits at a computer all day should join Myspace to read the interesting bulletins and send jokes and comments to friends. It will make the working day just that little bit sweeter, I guarentee.
