I thought of you today
For no apparent reason
Just a memory of your face
The quietest of images
A whisper of the place.
I thought of you today
On a long forgotten highway
That passes yesterday
I thought of you today

I thought of you today
If I could trade tomorrows
At a chance at yesterday
Banking on a future
In a pocket there you'd stay
I thought of you today.
