With the nation in a recession, we cannot afford to be throwing any more tax payer money around, especially to countries that hate us. We have to wake up and realize that money does not always make things better. We seem to view money as having some magical powers, when changing hands, makes everything better, it is not always the case. Many times, money in the wrong hands, or too many hands causes even more problems. We caertainly don't want to give money to people who will use our money to buy weapons to kill us with, that is insane... We should let the Palestinians work their own problems out. We need to keep our noses out of everyone else's business. They don't need our money. They receive billions from Saudi Arabia, which is already swimming in American gas dollars. Allowing countries to work out their own problems is Ok. It isn't being an isolationist, to let people handle their own affairs without American intrusion. We have become so paranoid about being isolationists that we have become annoying trouble makers, poking our noses where it doesn't belong. Enough already! Those nations have existed thousands of years longer than the United States has, they don't need our help. I think it's time for the U.S.A. to take a Global Time Out! Enough with all this globalization garbage. Maybe if we backed off a little and gave the world some breathing room, more people would actually like us... None of them need our money, we should focus on saving our own economy first, then we will be in better shape to deal with global problems. It would really be in America's interest to: Withdraw from Europe, Iraq and Afghanistan. We really should be focusing closer to home, like on South America, where threats are real and within reach of our borders, not spending trillions so bored soldiers in Germany, Italy and Japan can play cards and get in trouble. World War 2 has been over for over 65 Years, what are we still doing over there? We are way over extended. europe doesn't need America to defend her any longer. If Russia wants to play baby sitter, then we should let them go bankrupt again trying to watch Europe. Europeans aren't even grateful, so why are we bothering? Are we afraid that Hitler may rise from the dead and the Nazi regime will some how return to power? It's nonsense... We really need to stop playing Big Momma to the world and allow the nest some room.
