The good news is that you can easily make money online without having to spend a penny. Of course if you do invest a small amount of cash in the right areas you will make more, but I will consider the ways that do not cost a dime and can still earn you over a thousand dollars a month. All you need, and I say all, is time, ambition, patience, dedication and a willingness to succeed. You must not give up. Now I hear you asking how is this possible. Well there are many types of sites and jobs online where you can earn money. Read on and I will enlighten you.

Writing

This is my favourite way to earn money. It is free and as the internet is a wealth of knowledge and ideas there is no shortage of things to write about. There are many sites which will pay you for each and every article as well as a daily revenue share for page views. Helium is one such site which pays you an upfront payment in many different channels ranging from 50 cents to $2.50 depending on your number of writing stars as well as a penny every time one of your articles is viewed. I strongly recommend Helium as a free way to build up a writing portfolio and earn a residual income. Those articles which you write today will still earn you money in 5, 10 years time, so it is a site well worth investing your time. In order to maximise my earnings I set a target at the beginning of each month and on this site I find it very easy to meet my targets regarding the number of articles written.

Google adsense

To best make use of google adsense create a blog or website or even a niche network of blogs and add google adsense ads. The ads displayed will match your content provided your site is highly specific to a particular niche. Every time someone clicks on one of your ads you make money. Unfortunately the payout is rather high at $100, and some clicks are worth as little as 1 cent, but it is important to note that some people make thousands of dollars monthly from adsense. The key things are keywords, back links and traffic. If no one visits you website then you will not generate any revenue. The best way to get traffic quickly is to have a keyword dense blog with several back links. There are numerous sites where you can link your site for example squidoo. This is another writing site which pays you cold hard dollars for creating lens or pages about anything. You could create a niche of lens around your blog keywords and link these to your blog and watch your traffic and earnings soar. The more back links the higher your keywords will be found on google and the more visitors. More visitors equals more money, simple as.

Affiliate marketing

I am relatively new to affiliate marketing but nonetheless I know the basics. Whenever you have created your niche blogs and websites you can place related products on your site. If your content is relevant to these products there is a good chance someone will purchase. Here again this is all dependant on traffic and back links. I use a site called ezine articles to draw traffic to my blogs and products. These articles rank on the first page of google and so if someone is looking for say an acne cure and they come across one of my articles, they will read the article and perhaps click on the link to my website at the end. After reading my website posts there is a high chance they may purchase one of my acne products provided they are impressed with my website content. It is pretty simple.

There are many other ways to make money with no investment but the three options I have mentioned above are in my opinion the most successful and highest earners if done properly.
