Do you know anybody that wants to look old haggard and weak? Speaking for myself, I do not and I don't think you do either. You see, the secret of eternal youth is one thing that most people would give a lot to learn.
Well, if you want that secret of eternal youth even when you are old, it is right here in the succeeding paragraphs of this article.
Exercise is the fountain of youth and you can take that to the bank! But first, let us understand how most people lose their youth and vitality as it were.
First, you put on a lot weight, your movements become slow and sluggish, lines and wrinkles appear on your face and you even begin to lose the zest for life. Now all these are directly attributable to lack of exercise. If you exercise, regularly and properly you cannot have any truck with the picture painted above.
In the first place, exercise burns away extra calories. So if you exercise and make it a habit, you won't put on any unnecessary weight. Again, exercise will convert your fat to muscle which is leaner, stronger and looks better.
It is also a fact that people who exercise regularly have higher energy levels. Their movements are brisk and their bones are strong. So, even as you move into your 40s and 50s, you will still remain strong and agile courtesy of exercise.
Some of the afflictions that are associated with older people are high blood pressure, diabetes and well, erectile dysfunction. All these can be checkmated by regular exercise.
Exercise reduces blood pressure. Exercise also ensures that you don't have a high level of blood sugar. As for erectile dysfunction, regular exercise improves blood circulation. This, in turn, ensures that blood flows to the right place at the right time and for the right purpose
There is ample evidence to suggest that regular exercise works against premature grey hair, premature baldness and the loss of bone mass.
Finally, exercise keeps you active and improves the functions of vital organs. For instance, macular degeneration can be combated by a regular exercise regimen. Exercise also improves brain function.
So, as you can clearly see it is possible to be fifty years and look thirty five. The secret is simply exercise which is rightly considered the fountain of youth. If you need an example or two, well, there is Nelson Mandela who is very active at age ninety. There is also Dennis Brutus, who at age eight four still leads an active life in spite of his age.
