I'm feeling his lips their saying goodbye
All over my skin before he's left
Whispering my name his words run through me
with his last Autmn breath
I tossed my heart into the pond
it rippled my reply
So simple I'm not strong enough
He still can't learn to fly
CHORUS: Paper Planes fly then crash
Float back to the sky burn into ash
Paper Planes were meant for short trips
Like the distance between my love and your lips
I took a second glance at yesterday
Before I could move on
I'm peeling away the layers of your love
Deep inside this song
His fingers bled those words I crave
Then dried up in the sun
I see him in the midnight sky
I hope he carries on
CHORUS: Paper Planes fly then crash
Float back to the sky burn into ash
Paper Planes were meant for short trips
Like the distance between my love and your lips
Funny how I've tried to fit you in
to a place you don't belong
My love you'll find me in High Park one day
By the river singing this song
You came to me like a gust of wind
where all the leaves will play
I reach my arms into your sky
I feel you slip away......like
CHORUS: Paper Planes fly then crash
Float back to the sky burn into ash
Paper Planes were meant for short trips
Like the distance between my love and your lips

It seemed fair to her and not too much to ask
With so much

It is undoubtable
That I have broken free
Of the chains which have restrained me
A temporary assistance
To misery
I'm still trying
I thought of you today
For no apparent reason
Just a memory of your face
The quietest of images
A whisper of the place.

Breakup: An Explanation
What you are not, my dear, is a flame
that starts in my sternum and sends smoke

The files are sealed
The vaults are closed
I wait, new chapters to unfold
I've shed some tears
I've cried the past
But future's
