Every year car fanatics wait to see which companies will release the best concept cars. Many of these cars are better performance than any other car made by that company, and are never actually made. Other car manufacturers release concept cars that soon come into the market with extremely high prices, such as the Porsche Carrera GT. Choosing the top five concept cars is an arduous task and depends much on the taste of the driver, however if you are looking for speed, agility, and the best performance here are some of the nicest concept cars of the past couple years.

First on the list is the exotic Bugatti 16/4 Veyron. This extremely high end car contains an astounding 16-cylinder engine. This new Veyron can exceed speeds of over 400 kilometers per hour. The car is built so compact and aerodynamic that it has no lift due to its rear air-intakes and lightweight engine. The car uses some of the newest technology to keep it under control at high speeds and the bigger wheels ensure at least 200 kilometers after losing air. This car is definitely one of the best concepts put out over the past few years and very much deserves to be on the list of the top five.

Second is the Maserati GranTurismo MC concept. This concept based on the GranTurismo has been perfected to be one of the fastest Maseratis ever made. The new model uses all new technology making it extremely aerodynamic. The front grill and hood both contain air-intakes to help cool the engine and keep the car on the ground. A rear spoiler has been added to keep the down force enough for the car to use all of its power. This car packs 450 horsepower, and does not compromise any agility performance at high speeds. This car is a wonderful put out from Maserati developers.

The new Lamborghini Estoque also deserves its own spot on this list. This is the first of its kind, a super sport sedan. It is a 4-door super car, the Estoque can accommodate up to five people. The four and a half foot tall sedan features a front mid-engine that balances the weight for perfect performance. This new concept is unmistakably a Lamborghini which features more than most other Lamborghinis out there. There would be no surprise to see this car released later this year.

Next up on the list is the Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS. This concept put out by Aston Martin is no exception to their fast and quality cars before. Seeing this car later this year isn't too unthinkable. The 600 horsepower packed in this car gives it a faster acceleration than any other Aston Martin. The Aston Martin developers focused on the best performance and handling they could get for the 600 horses tucked away in its engine. This concept definitely shows what these guys are capable of putting out.

Last, but definitely not least, we have the Porsche Carrera GT. Although this car has been put on production, it is still a concept and Porsche showed the world what kind of cars they could make with the unveiling of this super car. This V-10 engine holds over 500 horsepower stock. The Carrera GT is one of Porsches best designs of a super car yet, with its open cockpit and unique designs.
