With just free tools you can have a secure computer.

Have you learned that a computer must be always in top condition not to crash so often? You need to schedule the maintenance so the computer will do that automatically when you are away. Lunch time is a very good time!

You don't need to buy pro software to have advanced protection. Free software is good enough if you know how to use it.

How many times you just wished to have a bigger hard disk? You don't need to buy another one again and again. Just backup all your files to Mozy and then delete them from the original location.

Most of your deleted files can be recovered with free software so before you think you are safe just by pressing del, think again, and then get some software that will shereder all the files for life.

This thing you must always know. Encryption is what keeps your information really private. This is not enough to know. You must apply it too. Unless you want your data to be public.

It's not worth to waste your time formating your computer. See if you can repair it with software only.

Do you want to have space online so you can save your files there? Mozy can do it for you. All you need is to install their software in your computer and then you are done.

The first time you run Zone Alarm firewall or any other firewall you will have to set all the right definitions so you later won't have to do it again. As you can imagine this is bad to do. It takes time and effort.

It's not easy to make that processor fast all the times. Some programs on the internet can try to change some setting in your processor to make it a little faster but do it at your own risk.

Apart from this here is a great tool that will keep all your files always small: 7 Zip. This is free and compresses files better than Winzip will ever zip and this is even free! Of course you can donate if you want to do it.

The last time you shut your computer down did you clean all the disk specially the internet temporary files? This is an invitation for a thief to pick your computer and then to see which websites you are surfing and also your autenticated sessions.

More than one security tool working together will instead work against each other.

Did you know that Winzip can not only compress your files but also encrypt them as well? This is great for companies and end users.

How many times today did your computer cloked while you were working? Get Tune Up Utilities. It will make sure it will never happen again.
