A Winter walk down east 25th street
all the leaves have abandoned the trees
.
the birds are missing
thier sweet songs no longer filling the air
.
The children are inside
playing hide and go seek
but one still resides
ever faithfully by me

and learn what I know
the child goes wherever I go
.
A winter's walk, so absent of laughter
the days here are just another chapter
to write.
to listen.
to walk on a winters day.
