How to love your life

Created on: February 19, 2009

We all make sacrifices in life. We settle for a less than perfect job, an old car, boring clothes, a bad haircut, etc. But there is not enough time in the day to be exactly what we want to be. We cannot do the many things we want to improve our lives because we are busy making a living and running errands.

But there is no need to worry we should all keep in good spirits about it, as long as we are not lazying around and we are doing the best we can then we deserve to be happy and put a smile on our faces.

There are many things that I wish to pursue in life but I hold them back because my children come first now. Once we accept our responsibilities as adults we can truly love our lives, to me maturity is taking responsibility for absolutely everything and doing anything you can to ensure good things happen.

I know for a fact that if I neglect my children and do something selfish, I will not be loving my life, I would regret it and hate myself, priorities are what build my morality and what I choose to do reflects what kind of father and husband I am.

In order to love our lives we must first love ourselves. When we love someone we make it a habit to do things for them, especially things to help them out, therefore in order to love ourselves we must work constructively and work productively.

Exercising is so underrated and not only keeps us physically fit but also emotionally, mentally and spiritually strong too.

Spending an hour or so per day exercising will help us get the most out of our lives, this is time spent wisely on the most important thing of all, our health. When we look back, there will be no regret in our heads for exercising everyday of our lives.

Realizing your dreams is loving your life, some might say that fulfilling your dreams will make you love your life but I think that working towards fulfilling your dreams is the hard and exciting part.

Being a good person is another way to help love your life, working towards resolving conflicts instead of constantly fueling them will help you move towards happiness. Being an evil person can never help you love your life, these bad things just leave doubt in your heart and regret in your head. A life with no enemies would be great and I certainly would love that life.

So if we all work towards taking better care of ourselves, being the good person, moving towards our dreams and putting others first we will have a life that's worth loving and build a world that's worth keeping.
