Memoirs: My great, true, personal garden story

There's this feeling that you getting from gardening, the feeling that something wouldn't be there if it weren't for you, and thats the best this about gardening. You've created something that would of never existed.

Winter has slowly gone by and the world suddenly seems to awaken from a very deep sleep. The earth regains its color as if it were a patient miraculously healing from a wound. Its that time againn, time to pull out the gardening tools and watering hoes. A corner with bright sunshine is of course waiting for its fruits and vegetablesto grow after the seeds have been planted and watered. I, of course wait for the soil to reveal what I've waited so long for.

The process of planting something is breath taking, from a tiny seed comes a sprout, and from that there are limbs, flowers, and leaves that seem to reach for the light of above. Its kinda like the representation of human life but in fast forward mode. We comes from the womb, and a plant from a seed, the plants grow as humans grow and they wither the way humans grow old, its dry and brittle surface, the reflection of the wrinkles of an elder. We all watch Autumn go by with its faded red leaves and dry vacant trees, but before all this the leaves were green.

One of the greatest pains is something that came from your very own hands getting destroyed. I remember that after sudden thunderstorms the plants in the back yard would be dug from the ground and the soil would be saturated in rain water. Theres also the fact that the plants turn into the colors of dead leaves once winter circles around for another run. Gardening has always been a way to let go of everything around of me and just taking in the air of a brand new day. Its showed me that I ddon't always have to think about what was taken away from me but should think about what was given to me. Although some things have gone missing from life there is still the fresh air and the new memories that still needs to be made and discovered.

Being a gardener is like being a mother. You give birth to the plants and care for it from the very first days. You water it the way a mother feeds her baby, and you look after it the way a mother watches her baby play. The way it turns out depends on how you raise it, the plant might live very long or diminish quickly from the world.

"I'm waiting for the rain to gently fall, and for you to quickly grow." These words are my words as a gardener wanting her plants to quickly grow because the outcome. no matter what is spectacular, kinda like the way a parent feels about their kids, wanting them to grow into good people. From one's very own hands, something so wonderful is created and it can change the attitude of someone who thinks that they are so incapable of doing things. Gardening is like a dream, because it proves how important someone really is. It wouldn't be here if you weren't here to create it.
