First Sounds
Music is a reflection and
refraction of first sounds.
The sounds of the mother's heartbeat,
the waves crashing against the shore,
the insect's wings resounding
across the fields of grass and wheat.
Trees rustling in the wind,
a baby's first words, your first kiss,
and your last goodbye,
your heart pumping quickly,
yet efficiently,
even though it's breaking.
Music is of the soul itself,
songs of the past and present,
the here and now, and the now and then,
waiting for you to remember,
beautiful in its silence, sweet,
sweet music to her ears.

Touch my soul here
