I love you, I love you not...
First you say you didn't
with your angry voice
across the phone lines.
No regard for my intelligence
nor ability to see the truth
in the lies unfolding.
Then confessions late
in the night as you
struggled with the truth,
making a decision to come clean.
For you or for me?
I have yet to unravel the knot.
I suppose it doesn't matter
that it hurts so many days
after the fact as I try
to forget and try to trust.
I can barely trust myself
so why should I trust you?
I love you, I love you not...
