Breaking Borders
I hate borders and boundaries
keeping you in your place
like a monkey on a chain,
dancing around in its little
hat begging for change.
I wish I could break down all the walls and
fences in this world and
build bridges instead, that
would show em. I wish
I could color outside the lines,
write off of the page,
drive in the middle,
park in the fire lane.

Those Unopposed
innately nimble thumb sans thimble up
with index OK, it'll be a slow day
for Cricket or crochet

A Yearning
Even small as a sparrow
would I be,
if I could fly above the world,
soaring free.
No more than a ripple
