night. Additional amenities like showers, laundry facilities, and firewood are offered with supplemental fees.
Lost Creek Campground
The last of the accommodation options within the borders of Crater Lake National Park is the tiny Lost Creek Campground. If you really want to get away from the modern world, this is the place to do it. Only 16 campsites are available and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis from July to September.
The Lost Creek site is located only three miles from Rim Road and the lake, and each site comes with a picnic table and fire pit. There is a bathroom and running water at the site as well.
If you're willing to look outside the borders of the park, there are several other lodges and campgrounds to choose from. Nearby towns have many hotels and bed and breakfast businesses.
The Steamboat Inn in Steamboat, Oregon is located on the North Umpqua River and is very popular with fly fishing enthusiasts. The Steamboat Inn has several different accommodation options ranging from $215 to $300 per night.
The Crystal Wood Lodge in Klamath Falls, Oregon is one of the few facilities that is open year round. Winter rates are as low as $122 per night and summer rates go up to $182. One small single room is available for solo travelers at just $100 per night in the summer and $85 in the winter.
If all else fails, the town of Klamath Falls is just fifty miles south of Crater Lake National Park, and there are numerous chain hotels to choose from there. It is worth the money and the reservation to get one of the rooms overlooking the dreamlike landscape of Crater Lake, but no matter where you stay you will enjoy your trip to southern Oregon's most popular attraction.
