leather seems to creak more
in this dampness
as my stomach sours
with anxiety
or perhaps remorse
unrelenting in its disquietude
I no longer enjoy
the things I used to
nor do I have any want
to change this station
its far easier
to just watch the trains
in the subway
and embrace the headache
that they offer

Are you looking up at me
