When we talk safe cleaning products, we not only look for products which will have no adverse effect on the user, but also those which are not harmful to the natural environment.
Several companies are, today. going for such products. Such products are well advertised and easy to notice and you will undoubtedly see logos such as the 'Green Seal', 'The Environmental Choice' or 'Environment friendly' depending on the origin of the product. Products with such logos are usually friendly for both the users and their natural environment. Of course, it is always a good idea to read instructions and any cautoin or warning signs on the bottle.
Though now you are prepared to choose for safe cleaning products, there are some big names you might want to remember:
General cleaning products:
1. Ecolab. Ecolab has a variety of cleaning products which are non-corrosive and non-caustic. Products can be used on multiple surfaces for regular cleaning and degreasing. Some low-sudsing products do not leave a film or haze and do not require rinsing. Ecolab products are Green seal certified.
2. Johnson Diversey products. They have a larger variety of products containing many all-in-ones which will clean, brighten and even wax multiple surfaces. These products have reduced human and aquatic toxicity and reduced smog production potential. I personally also like the smell. These products are also Green Seal certified.
3. Unisource. A company which produces Green Seal certified cleaning products. I do not know these personally but some friends tell me they are very satisfactory.
4. Spartan Chemical products, Inc Products. They have a variety of all-purpose products which can be used on a multiple of surfaces. Products meet Green Seal certification standards and some are made are derived from corn, coconut and palm kernel.
5. Envirox Products. These are certified by Green Seal and work great. Products can be used on both soft and hard surfaces and are non-corrosive to skin, non-fuming with a mild scent.
If you are looking for disinfectants and sanitizers, I would also recommend the above companies for safe products.
If you require a degreaser, you might as well try products from State Industrial Products.
Note that the above companies provide mild cleaning agents which easily clean most stain and dirt in your home; if you encounter any difficulty in cleaning, it is advisable to consult small cleaning companies or any of the above companies for any further information. If you require stronger chemicals, it is better to go for small cleaning companies which know how to handle those products. Do not take any risk with cleaning chemicals as some may be ver volatile or cause hazardous fumes.
