Poetry: Reflections

REFLECTIONS

Here I sit
anesthetized by your smile
nursing invisible wounds
hoping
you would
make the pain
subside.
How can you?
Visualize my agony
see my pain
the tears wont come
and you don't
understand.
I look for answers
in your eyes.
And find a frightening
darkness.
Sublime, yet somehow
selfish.
Or perhaps
It's a reflection of
Me.
