The Criminal Justice system has its pros and cons and one of the biggest cons is the budget, however everybody in the system is always striving to succeed and serve the community. There have been many different types of theories that have been presented to the criminal justice system and only a few have made it through to actually being put in performance. The main problem is everybody that presents something expects immediate solutions.
When something is presented it takes months if not years to get through. Not only does this cause problems this also causes neighborhoods to feel some sort of doubt that nothing is going to work. Of course pouring more money into the criminal justice system is not going to solve all the problems, giving the policemen/women time and support to guide them through the difficult task that they have would help somewhat.
Every year there is a new program that is presented and every year there is always some group complaining that their rights aren't being met. In the system, they know and understand what works and what doesn't work. Trying new things is a everyday practice and something that a lot of people do not understand because they believe that nothing is working.
There is one thing that is understood among the people that run our country. There is a specific celing where benefits stop and money begins to be wasted. For example putting 50 policemen on a street corner is not going to solve any problems because then they're focused on that street corner rather than helping all around in a widespread area.
There are new programs that help do crime mapping and help the criminal justice system look at places to put their policemen/women for each weekend and put them to best use. The system may seem like it costs alot of money but they are just beginning to recieve some of the most profitable and useful resources to help them succeed today.
There is no politics that will work without the support of the people. If people continue to argue and fight for their ways then of course the politics will fail however if the police would look for ways to ask for help and go out in the community and get as much help (showing them that it does benefit them in the end.) as possible.
The fastest growing area of the criminal justice system is the corrections system. If that is true then obviously it seems like atleast 50 percent of the budget is being spent on that part of the system and not on the enforcement part of the system. There are severeal branches and the part that people focus on most is the law enforcement section and there are also judges, lawyers, correction officers, parole officers and then policemen that are being paid with the budget that we are complaining we're spending too much on.
If we were to talk about the particular budget that goes to our community law enforcement agencies then maybe we can discuss that further but until then, a budget change does not necessarily mean the money is going where you think it is going.
