Chocolate and love go hand in hand. During the 1800's, Valentines Day was almost unheard of, until one enterprising family started making Valentine's Day Cards. Since then Cards, and then Flowers and Chocolates have been linked with this special day. The sales of Chocolates and Flowers for Valentines day have been on a steady increase since the early 1940's. After WWII sales increased dramatically and continued until today. In addition to chocolate, flowers and cards, in the 1990's Diamonds have been associated with this day. But chocolate still is the number one gift of choice.
But as for Valentines day, it is known as a holiday to sell Chocolate, it is the one day that Chocolate sales rise to the highest rate of the year. It is yet another instance of business's manipulating the general public. Why should a day be made just for love? Why shouldn't every day be a day for love? If you love someone you do not need a day to show that love. Go out and buy a box of chocolates for that special female just because you love her. Not because some holiday was invented.
Men are the number one consumer of Valentine's chocolates, knowing their favorite female will adore the highly prized gift almost as much as a diamond. Buy a box of chocolates or better yet a chocolate rose and you will get plenty of brownie points from your favorite girl. Men buy chocolates for their favorite women on this holiday while most women simply purchase a card. Men know that most women love chocolate. There is even a running joke about the desire a woman has for chocolate.
Chocolate is an aphrodisiac and has been linked with the release of endorphins in the brain. When these endorphins are released a sense of euphoria comes across the body. Your heart rate slows and you relax. And men love it when their women are relaxed, the de-stressing of their partners then causes them to relax and they have a happy evening spent together instead of worries about bills or other things couples have to worry about. Dark chocolate benefits the blood circulation in your body. Chocolate has also been shown to be a brain stimulator and a cough preventer. So be sure to buy that special female a nice big box of chocolate to keep her happy and healthy.
Chocolate is delicious no matter what day of the year it is. I always love it when my special man brings me a box or even a bag of chocolate. I always feel loved when he thinks of me in any way. Every day if Valentines day if you just keep that chocolate coming home with you. Every day is Valentines day when your in love.
